YTK® analysis - dimensions

The method is used to assess the information processing methods of the analysed individuals. These preferences are viewed from four different perspectives:

1) General information processing method,
which includes qualities such as

  • analytical and logical
  • form-attached and systematic
  • social
  • innovative

2) Background factors, such as

  • introvert and extrovert
  • information processing based on sensory experience and personal thoughts (intuition)
  • balancing of emotions and reason in actions
  • speed in decision-making, i.e. whether the person is a thinker or solver

3) Method of acquiring new information, with three conceptual pairs

  • emphasis on seeing or hearing in acquiring information
  • emphasis on detail or larger concepts
  • primary objective in acquiring information is to memorise things or understand the meaning

4) Other mental attributes include

  • mental alertness
  • active participation in learning
  • self-esteem
